What Story Does Your Social Media Tell?

When constructing your social media presence, always ask “What story am I telling with my media?” While getting your point across is important, it’s even more crucial that your social media marketing efforts do not feel like an overt advertisement.

In any social media management project, your content must remain clear, consistent and welcoming. Does your Instagram feed have a filter? Are you using different filters? Always remember that your audience will appreciate consistent visual aesthetic and streamline your content as such.

When managing your presence, social media managers must ask
themselves: “What is the voice of my brand? Is it younger? Older? Earnest? Playful?” While you do want to exercise a variety of different ways to appeal to your followers, it needs to feel like they’re engaging with an image that is consistent, in order to establish brand familiarity. If you can master a consistent and engaging presence, users will take notice and follow, spurring growth for your brand.
